It’s Spring time and here in the Central Valley, the almond bloom is in full force! These gorgeous white blossoms are covering all of the orchards. With all that white and pink, what could be a better backdrop for some senior pictures?! And that’s exactly what we decided to do last weekend with Maria!
Our friend Abby sent us a text a while back asking if we could do her little sister Maria’s senior pictures when she came to visit for her Spring break and we couldn’t say yes fast enough! Maria is the youngest of five and so this is the final high school graduation celebration their family will have. We learned during the shoot that their mom has gotten a large print of each of her kid’s senior pictures and hung it on a wall in their home. When Abby’s picture was hung, as the oldest, it felt like a shrine to just her to have this huge print on the wall. But over the years, it’s filled up and now Maria gets to add hers as the perfect, final touch!
We had such a blast taking these pictures of Maria! Tucked away in a quiet orchard on a gorgeous, sunny California day surrounded by white blossoms is like a little bit of heaven on earth. When the breeze picked up, the blossoms looked like white confetti for Maria’s pictures – even the trees were celebrating her! And as a bonus, we encountered a wandering cat from a house nearby. Maria scooped her up within seconds and we got some adorable shots of those two cuddling like long lost friends!
Maria, it was such a joy and honor to take these pictures! Your infectious laugh and fun, bubbly personality made the time together go by so fast. We are so excited for this time of celebration in your life! You’re finishing a significant chapter and this is a wonderful time for you to stretch your wings and find your next adventure. We know Abby is already recruiting you to come move out here after graduation, so we’ll just take her side and add a little more pull! Wherever you do end up in the next couple months, we are so thrilled for you and know that you’ll knock ’em dead no matter what.
