Going back to visit Santa Barbara is always a joyful experience for us because it’s the place we both went to college. What makes it extra special is getting to see all of the friends who are still living there and we have missed dearly. One of these special couples are our sweet friends Ashley and Michael. This past visit, we had the undeserved privilege of doing a maternity session for them to celebrate the anticipation of their first baby.
Ashley and Michael’s love story has been one for the books since the beginning. Ashley has always had a love for children’s books and when she and Michael were dating, she used a customized children’s book to tell him that she loved him. He continued the fun by popping the question a couple months later with another children’s book. So when Ashley found out she was expecting shortly after their wedding, guess how she told her husband? With the I Love Dad children’s book! They brought it along for the maternity session and we got to capture this beautiful and fun tradition of announcements in their relationship!
To our sweet friends, we are so incredibly excited for this next adventure in your story together! You love each other so fully and completely and we can’t wait to watch you share that love with your sweet baby boy. Hudson will look back at these pictures of his parents and see how crazy in love you were – what a beautiful gift!
